Welcome to the Georgia INT League 2012 Tour

NEW We have some new venues and new events in store for the season. We are kicking off our season with a clinic/demo/practice/family fun day on Lake Allatoona at the Cherokee County YMCA facility the day before our season opener at the same location. That will be followed by our first waterski event at Princeton Lake near the Atlanta airport. We are also moving our location on Lake Hartwell but we’ll still have our state championships at Lake Acworth. Look for directions to these locations soon.

WATERSKIING We are bringing INT Waterskiing back to Georgia. If you’re not familiar with the INT format for waterski tournaments take some time to look at the rule book, there’s a division for everyone from beginner to expert. And if you’re worried about running a complete pass through the course, don’t be, in the novice division you score points based on how many buoys you make it around – if you miss one don’t worry, you can try for the next one. Have someone in the family that’s not comfortable on one ski? bring them along, they can run the course on two skis. Come out and participate or just watch and enjoy the day, it’s a fun way to get everyone involved in waterskiing.

Waterski season will kick off on June 23 at Waterski Atlanta on Princeton Lake in southwest Atlanta (Camp Creek Parkway exit off I-285, 5 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport). It’s a beautiful location with restaurants, lodging and shopping within walking distance. You can see the lake and learn more about Waterski Atlanta at www.waterskiatlanta.com.

CLINIC/DEMO/PRACTICE We’re going to kick the season off on June 9 with a wakeboard coaching clinic and demo day – “Tune It Up on Allatoona”. If you want to work on a new trick or just want some help kicking off your season, we’ll have coaching available (coaching will be limited to 20 minute sessions, with assigned times). You’ll also be able to run multiple passes through the course to work on anything you like. Pull Watersports will be there along with manufacturer reps to answer questions and let you try out the latest in wakeboard equipment. There will be games, standup paddle boards, a cardboard boat regatta, rubber duck races, we’ll be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs - come out, enjoy the day and get ready for the season opener the following day.

SEASON PASS Also new this year is the Wakeboard Season Pass. If you plan on competing in all of the wakeboard tournaments, buy the season pass and we’ll include a 2012 Pull Watersports/Georgia INT riding jersey (these are going to be hot property, I was told “if you look good, you’ll ride good”) as well as two pulls on the Tune It Up on Allatoona day. Supplies are limited so get your order in early.

When getting ready for your season, be sure to visit all of the Georgia INT sponsors, Pull Watersports, Watersports Central (Mastercraft), Marine Max (Nautique), Allatoona Adventures and Georgia Wakeboard Lessons (Brandon Lee).

July 15 – Stop 3, Wake Hartwell, Wakeboarding, Hartwell, GA

July 28 – Waterskiing Stop 2, Princeton Lakes, Atlanta, GA

August 11, Stop 4 – State Championships, Lake Acworth, Acworth, GA
