Questions and Answers!
Q. I’ve just learned to wake board? Do I have to be pretty good to be able to compete in INT events?
A. Absolutley not! INT divisions are based on ability. We do have some divisions based on age and gender just to encourage participation. But basically if you’re working on four solid inverts, or just crossing the wakes, there’s a division for you regardless of your age or gender. By the way, if you think you are too old or two young, I’ve seen 4 year olds and 73 year olds. We don’t have age limits.
Q. How much does it cost to enter an INT event?
A. Check out our Information Page. All of the Entry fees are listed there.
Q. Do I need to bring a boat to compete?
A. No. Our devoted sponsors take care of that. You’ll be riding behind brand new 2008 wake board or ski boats. These are the best boats in the industry and when you ride behind them, you’ll see why.
Q. What do I need to bring to compete?
A. Aside from paying your entry fees and completing a Registration and signing a Waiver, you will simply need your board, and life jacket. You will be required to wear a helmet. You can bring your own or wear one that belongs to INT. While INT also provides ropes and handles, if you have a low stretch wake board rope that you would rather use, we’ll be happy to use yours.
Q. Do my parents or friends have to pay anything to come watch me?
A. Of course not! Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come watch. You will have to keep dogs on a leash and clean up any “doggy messes” they might make.
Q. How much will I get to ride?
A. Most of our events are two round events. A round consists of a pass down the lake and then a pass back up the lake. Wake boarders and knee boarders will get one fall. Wake skaters get an additional fall. The Rule Book will explain what division every rider should enter and how many tricks you can throw. The second round will be a repeat of the first round.
Q. Will it be fun?
A. Are you kidding? It’s a blast!
